18-30 Offer – Update from North East England

What is the 18-30 offer?

The 18-30 offer is a range of fun activities and new opportunities spread across seven themed pathways. Some of these are existing opportunities brought together in one place, and some are new options.

Instead of being a section or a programme, the offer is peer-led and flexible. Adventure, learning and social guiding opportunities are available and members can hold regular, flexible or one-off volunteering roles, or even be a member without being a volunteer.

How the offer looks and runs will be driven by young women, for young women. As individuals they can decide whether they want to try a bit of everything, choose a particular interest, or help organise groups and events for others.

What is happening in North East England?

Hannah, the region’s 18-30 coordinator, has recruited a team of keen 18-30-year-olds to champion the new offer and help get things started in the region.

We have already organised an 18-30 region event taking place in on Sunday 17 November in York. Further details will be revealed shortly, along with other fantastic events and opportunities, so watch this space!

What can you do?

Please encourage your Senior Section members over 18 to take a look at what’s available for 18-30s on the Girlguiding website and follow our social media (below).

Talk to your Senior Section members and the options available to them, whether that’s exploring the different options in the 18-30 offer or signing up to an adult volunteer role.

Please share and promote the links to our survey, booking form and our new social media pages. If you know someone who is interested in the 18-30 offer but has not previously received a newsletter from us, please ask them to check their marketing preferences on GO and opt in to receive marketing emails from the region.
